The Bangalore University along with the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL), National Institute of Advanced Studies (NIAS) and other national research institutes will establish a consortium for the development of an Institute of Excellence of Science and Biotechnology.
The consortium will pool resources and infrastructure to participate in the academic activities of the university including the proposed B S course. As part of the agreement, a state-of-the-art central instrumentation facility will be established at the varsity’s campus. The facility is expected to cost around Rs 20 crore.
