Indian women won three gold, four silver and four bronze with Babita Kumari (51 Kg), Geeta (55 Kg) and Alka Tomar (59 Kg) bagging the yellow metal.

The other four gold medals in the fray were shared between Cameroon and Canada. Indian women also won the overall team championship gold.

59 kg: Alka Tomar 1; Rajni 2; Salmon Louisa (Eng) and Barker Jazmyne (Can) 3.
63 kg: Bouchard Justine (Can) 1; Anita 2; Navjot Kaur and Geringer Zumicke (SA) 3.
67 kg: Buydens Megan (Can) 1; Mcmanus Ashlea (Scl) 2; Suman Kundu and Babita 3.
72 kg: Ali Annabella Laure (Cmr) 1; Coetzee Sonja (SA) 2; Bronze: Wiebe Erica (Can) and Anmol 3.
