Muzrai Minister T B Jayachandra on Thursday said that strict orders have been given to issue notices to all those who have encroached Muzrai property and to recover them at the earliest.
He said, of the total 17,386 acres of Muzrai lands, about 836 acres have been encroached upon. Directions have been issued to appoint a state officer and maintain records of all properties. He said that a review of the Muzrai department has revealed that hundreds of properties have been given on lease, but the department is neither collecting lease, nor renewing lease agreement. Deputy commissioners and tahsildars have been directed not to lease out any property without permission.
