The high-security prison, which is host to many dreaded and notorious criminals from all over the country and outside, has been facing a serious staff shortage of warden, head warden and assistant superintendent since 2008.
In order to meet the day-to-day administration in the prison, the jail authorities have now sought help from the Tamil Nadu Special Police, ITBP and Central Reserve Police Force for security and patrolling duties.
