'I look at opportunities as challenges'

Be it in television serials like ‘Shanti’ and ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ or as a host with Indian Premier League (IPL), Mandira Bedi said that she is lucky to have had a lot of opportunities. She was in the City recently, as the host for a popular campaign.

 “I would describe my journey as a memorable one. Over the years, I’ve had different roles to play in my career. I look at opportunities as challenges. I have always been on television, be it as an actor or an anchor. I don’t consider any one point in my career as my most favourite because everything is different,” she said.

She is excited and is gearing up for second season of ‘24’, an Indian adaptation of the American drama series ‘24’, with Anil Kapoor. In the show, Mandira plays a government agent, named Nikita Rai and completely loves her character.

 “‘24’ has opened another window of opportunity for me. It is amazing working with Anil Kapoor. He is very enthusiastic and fun to work with,” she said. When asked how she stays positive, she said that she has always stayed self-motivated. Mandira loves to exercise. She said, “I exercise five days in a row because I want to stay fit mentally and physically. 

My exercise routines include running, aerobics and weightlifting.”
