'Citizens must join hands with officials'

Inaugurating one-day workshop on survey of slum areas in Birur area, at Vasavi Kalyana Mantap on Monday, he said that population dwelling in these areas, their health, drinking water facilities available, electricity connection, toilets, drainage etc will be taken into considering during the month long survey. Volunteers from Self-Help Groups and Stree Shakti sangha will participate in the survey, informed Birur Town Municipal Council Chief Officer Manjunath.
