The Central Crime Branch (CCB) police have arrested the associates of notorious rowdy-sheeter Tanveer Ahmed when they were allegedly planning to attack a rival gang.
According to the police, based on a tip-off, the CCB officers arrested Sajjad Hussain, 40; Fairoz Pasha, 32; Mohammed Tausif, 28; Rafi-ur-Rahman, 30, and recovered assault weapons and a car. They were planning to attack Tanveer’s rival Ishtiaq Pahalwan and his associates who were expected to arrive near HKBK College.
The police, who were tipped off, reached the spot and arrested the four.
All of them have several assault cases registered against them at various police stations in the City.
