A rich heritage on display

In an endeavour to promote the Indian handloom and handicraft and to showcase the rich heritage of India, Central Cottage Industries Corporation of India, is  holding ‘Beauty Tips for Your Home’ an exhibition-cum-sale of bed spreads and table linen till August 31 at BDA Complex, HSR Layout and at 144, MG Road.


The exhibition will showcase the best of Indian handlooms which describes the country’s culture, heritage and diversity where every piece is unique since it involves an essential skill of the weaver.

The display in bed spreads and table linen will feature the Jaipur prints in dabu, rapid and bagru prints from Rajasthan, handwoven cotton cutwork, silk cushion covers from Banaras, cotton applique work bedspreads and cushion covers in off white/ colours, ‘chiken’


work from Lucknow and the creation in batik from Kolkata.

This exhibition is yet another step in the series of special displays being organised by CCIC to encourage the craftspersons and present their creations to the discerning buyers from the City and all parts of the globe.
