Pratik's fine show sets up Jain win over Ryan

An all-round performance from Pratik Khandewala steered Jain International Residential School to a massive 199-run victory over Ryan International School, Yelahanka in the KSCA Cup (Division II) inter-school under-16 cricket tournament.

Batting first, helped by Pratik’s ton (107) Jain posted a challenging total of 281/7 in 48 overs. Kunal Nagpal essayed a valuable knock of 68.

In response, Ryan International were all out for a paltry 82 in 26 overs. Pratik contributed with the ball too, claiming 2 wickets for 13 runs while Nishanth Gowda (2/10) and Vatsal Jain (2/10) also took two wickets each.

In another match, Kensri School defeated Carmel School, Padmanabhanagar, by six wickets. Carmel made 176 all out in 42 overs. Kensri reached the target in 38 overs, losing four wickets.

The Oxford Senior Secondary School: 182 all out in 41.2 overs (Sudharshan V 35, Gagan Lohiya 30; Rajath Singh 2-31, Gaurav Kumar 4-27, Raghul 2-24) lost to Army Public School: 183/4 in 28.4 overs (Avinash 54 n.o.; Gagan Lohiya 2-26).  Bangalore Higher Secondary School: 119 all out in 21.2 overs (Amey 4-30, Shreyas BM 3-30, Anirudh 2-22) lost to VVS Sardar Patel High School: 122/2 in 11.3 overs (Anirudh 31, Amey 51).

Army Public School (Parachute Regiment School): 229 all out in 50 overs (Agraj P 36, Sumit G 50, Vrushab C Mutt 38; Yeshwanth 6-36) bt St Paul’s English School: 143 all out in 41.5 overs (Anirudh 26, Yeshwanth 55; Vrushab C Mutt 4-18, Pavan 3-32).

The Cambridge High School: 71 all out in 27.1 overs (Pruthvi 3-31, Sandeep 2-17, Vikyath 3-12, Sharath 2-4) lost to Vijaya High School: 73/5 in 17.4 overs.

Sudarshan Vidyamandir: 242/9 in 50 overs (Ashlesh 79, Bhargav 60; Akarshak 3-42, Pramath 2-33) bt Sri Kumaran Children’s Home: 144 all out in 37.2 overs (Abhishek L 25; Dhanush 2-30, Bhargav 2-10, Ashlesh 2-24, Sachin 3-30).
