The Bellary franchise for the 3rd Karnataka Premiere League — Bellary Tuskers — was unveiled here on Tuesday, with all-rounder C Raghu appointed as the captain.
Competing in the league for the first time, Tuskers will open their campaign against Bijapur Bulls on August 30 in Mysore. The franchise also launched its theme song and unveiled the team jersey.
“I am pleased to be named as the captain of the side. I am confident of living up to the expectations,” said Raghu.
Meanwhile, Tuskers revealed their star batsman Robin Uthappa is undergoing rehab for a knee injury. "Uthappa is undergoing rehab for a knee injury," Tuskers owner Arvind Venkatesh Reddy said.
