<p>Four people, including a woman, were killed and 28 injured when their bus skidded off a road in Meghalaya's West Garo Hills district, police said Friday.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The accident took place late Thursday at Dollonggre area on the National Highway 51, about 300 km from state capital Shillong.<br /><br />"Four people died on the spot," Mukesh Kumar Singh, the district police chief of West Garo Khasi Hills, told IANS.<br /><br />"Out of the 28 injured passengers, four are in a critical condition...," Singh added.<br /><br />He said an investigation was on to ascertain the cause of the accident.<br /><br />The bus was ferrying passengers to Shillong from Tura, he said.<br /></p>
