Lokeshkumar Somwarpet TP chief, Geetha deputy

 
The post of president was reserved for general category. Congress member K M Lokeshkumar was the only member who had filed nomination for the post. The post of vice -president was reserved for SC (woman). Since Geetha Basappa was the only candidate, her selection was easy.

Congress members B M Paramesh, Rafique, Nalini Ravishankar, S M D’Silva, JD(S) members Lathif and C L Vishwa remained absent to the meeting.

As soon the President and Vice President’s names were announced, Congress party workers who were waiting outside the TP office celebrated by bursting crackers. DCC President Veena Acchaiah, KPCC Member T P Ramesh and others were present.
