ITNL plans public issue

 It has a pan India presence in this sector and holds a diverse project portfolio consisting of 16 road projects, comprising approximately 8,875 lane kilometres.

Talking to Deccan Herald, ILFS Transportation Managing Director K Ramchand said “we plan to use a large part of the funds for retirement of debt, which will increase our debt to equity ratio and allow us to leverage the equity for our future projects.”

For year ended March 31 2009, it’s consolidated revenue and total profit after tax amounted to Rs 1,332 crore and Rs 27.88 crore respectively, as against revenue and total profit after tax of Rs 4,37.45 crore and Rs 93.25 crore, respectively, in previous fiscal.

It is making a foray into other transportation infrastructure sub-sectors such as railways and urban transportation infrastructure systems. It has been selected for development of the 4.9 km track of elevated metro rail link project in Gurgaon (Haryana) and is operating and maintaining the Nagpur city bus services on a BOT basis.
