JOIN USA newlywed woman allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling at a relative’s house in Saraipalya under Hennur police limits on Thursday.
The deceased, Poornima, 20, had married Dinesh, a cable operator, around five months ago.
She was his second wife, said the police. The couple had differences and used to quarrel with each other frequently, the police added.
Poornima had gone to her relative Gayathri’s house in Saraipalya on December 31 for New Year celebrations. Poornima reportedly looked upset. She did not respondwhen Gayathri asked about her well-being.
On Thursday night, when no one was at home, Poornima hanged herself from the ceiling.
The incident came to light when Gayathri returned home from work. She immediately informed the police, who shifted the body for post mortem.
The police found a death note which stated that Dinesh is responsible for her suicide.
A case has been registered and Dinesh has been picked up for questioning.
