KMF aims to supply 1 cr litres of milk a day

To augment milk supply, the Karnataka Milk Federation has set a target of one crore litres per day to 13 milk federations in the State. Currently, the federations supply 65 lakh litres per day, said Co-operation Minister H S Mahadev Prasad.

He was speaking to media after launching the golden jubilee logo of Bangalore Urban, Rural and Ramangara districts co-operative milk  Producers Association. A new product, Nandini Ghee Ladoo, was also launched on the occasion.

“The State government provides funds to the tune of Rs 940 crore to these federations to produce 65 lakh litres of milk. After the sale, the excess milk is utilised for government’s flagship scheme, Ksheera Bhagya,” officers said.

Transport Minister and Bangalore In charge Minister Ramalinga Reddy stressed on taking stringent action against people involved in adulteration of dalda with animal fat.
