Chikka finished on top with a total of 12-over 296 to win the tournament by four shots.
Another Bangalore boy, Khalin Joshi, returned the best card of the day — a round of even-par 71 — to finish second.

Honey Baisioya, who was overnight second, finished a couple of shots further back at third with a tournament total of 18-over 302 after carding his poorest round of the week, a six-over 77. Despite the setback, Baisoya emerged the winner in Category B (U-15), four in front of Rahul Ravi who finished with a total of 22-over 306.

In Category C, Piyush Sangwan completed a wire-to-wire win as he finished with a round of three-over 74 to total 17-over 301 for the tournament, eight clear of joint runners-up Viraj Madappa and Feroze Garewal.

Good show

Rashid Khan and Rahul Bajaj stayed on course for a final-round showdown with both of them winning their quarterfinal ties at the LG Goodricke Eastern India Amateur golf championship at the par-72 Royal Calcutta Golf Club here on Friday.

Rashid won his tie against Karan Vasudeva 4 and 2, while Rahul Bajaj defeated Pawan Kumar 4 and 3. In the showdown between the Kolkata boys, Samaresh Sardar emerged victorious over Mohd Sanjib to set up a semifinal clash against Rashid while Raja Sardar prevailed over SK Pappu to progress to the last four stage.

Rashid then birdied the difficult par-three 13th hole to go ahead for the first time in the match. Vasudeva made bogeys on the 14th and 15th, and was three down before Rashid closed the deal with a birdie on the 16th to win the match.
