JD(S) women's convention

The Janata Dal (Secular) will host a women’s convention at the Palace Grounds on October 8

.

Announcing this, the party national president H D Deve Gowda said the party intends to use it as a platform for raising awareness on ensuring 33 per cent reservation for women. “The convention will be a platform to exert pressure on all parties to ensure that the reservation bill is passed. Let women get more seats. We are ready to give Ramanagara or Nagamangala constituency for women, if the seats are reserved. I am confident that the bill will be passed in the next Parliament session, with all the parties supporting it,” he said.
