Customs officials at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) have recovered 450 gm of gold from an Emirates flight from Dubai on Thursday morning. Sources said an unidentified passenger had concealed four gold biscuits, 10 tolas each, under the seat.

The flight landed at KIA at 9 am. An airline crew spotted the gold after all the passengers alighted. An alert was sent to the Customs officials. A senior official said investigation was still on to track down the passenger carrying the gold.

On September 12, a resident of Mysore, Tabrez Ulla Baig, was arrested for carrying 4 kg gold. He had concealed the gold in three emergency lights.
