With the reopening of Hasanamba temple just 10 days away, development works on the premises is still in progress.

The temple is slated to be reopened on October 16 this year, and close on October 25. As there will be no darshan on the first and the last day, lakhs of devotees visiting the temple have only eight days to offer prayers.

The long pending demand of the devotees of clearing encroachments around the temple has been tended to by the district administration. The houses on the right side of the temple have been cleared and compounds have been erected, giving extra space.
Construction of toilets is in progress adjoining Hosaline road. However, the officials assure to complete them before Oct 16.

Also, the Siddeshwara temple is yet to be renovated. Officials and elected representatives had assured of laying flooring tiles and completing the work before the festival. However, it is incomplete. The temple premises has to be spruced up as construction works are in progress.

Tahsildar Manjunath said that the premises will be cleaned two days before the reopening of the temple, and that devotees will not be inconvenienced.

Three deputy commissioners have changed since the construction of gopuras. Each deputy commissioner had assured of inaugurating the gopura the following year. Last year it was assured that the gopura and temple kalasha would be inaugurated during the reopening, but it has been postponed.
