<p>Ajith Sequeira, 36, working in a private firm, was on Monday assaulted by an autorickshaw driver and his friends, following a minor accident near Prestige Shantiniketan junction near Whitefield Road under the Mahadevapura police limits.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Sequeira, a resident of Whitefield, was on his way to office. As he approached the Prestige Shantiniketan Junction, he stopped his car as the signal turned red, while the autorickshaw rear-ended the car and both vehicles suffered damages.<br /><br />Sequeira got down from the car and engaged in a verbal duel with auto driver Sriram. A couple of people, claiming to be friends of Sriram, inside the autorickshaw, started raining blows on Sequeira, police said. <br /><br />The victim managed to click a photograph of the driver and fled, before being pelted with stones. He approached the Mahadevapura police station and lodged a complaint, producing the picture of Sriram. The police nabbed the auto driver in Whitefield and brought him to the station.<br /></p>
