Neighbour stabs man to death

Mubarak, 28, a scrap merchant, was stabbed to death by his neighbour in Gurappanapalya under Mico Layout police limits on Thursday. He was a resident of Gurappanapalya.

On Thursday afternoon, Mubarak and the accused Khaleel got into a tiff. Khaleel stabbed Mubarak and fled the spot. 

The neighbours called the police and took him to a hospital but he was declared brought dead.

Mubarak had earlier had a heated argument with Khaleel’s father Syed Babu. He had also abused Babu several times over some personal issue. An enraged Khaleel asked Mubarak to mend his ways. Mubarak abused Khaleel and asked him to mind his business. Khaleel took out a dagger, stabbed Mubarak and fled the spot, police said.

Constant fight

“They both owned scrap shops next to each other in Gurappanapalya and were residing in the same area. Mubarak was a chronic alcoholic and was a menace to neighbours. There were constant fights between Babu and Mubarak and this might have led to the killing,” a police officer said.
