During this period the hosts lost three wickets while adding 38 runs to finish the day at 260/7 when bad light and rain combined to halt the match at around 4.00 pm at the JSS-SJCA ground.
At the SDNR Wadiyar ground, Tamil Nadu had their noses slightly in front after dismissing Hyderabad, overnight 97/4, for a modest 146 in 93.4 overs. Jaganath Srinivas caused the maximum damage with figures of 5/37 while TD Lokesh Raj claimed 3/28.
