JOIN USFour members of a family ended their lives in a suicide pact in Hebbagodi police limits on Tuesday.The police have identified the deceased as Shivaraj, 38, his wife Parvathi, 28, and their daughters Sudha, 8, and Kavya, aged 5.
The couple poisoned their minor daughters and later hanged themselves at their house in Bannahalli near Chandapura.Police said Shivaraj, who ran a tea shop, had borrowed
money from moneylenders and was unable to repay them.
They suspect that the couple might have taken the extreme step under pressure to clear the debt.The incident came to light when neighbours knocked on the door and there was no response. They grew suspicious and forced open the door to find the
couple hanging and children dead on the floor. The Hebbagodi police have registered a case.
