<p>B M Muniraju, owner of Balaji Constructions in HRBR Layout was abducted along with his driver Muniraju when he had gone to a bar in Kalyan Nagar last Tuesday. Subsequently, the abductors called his wife Vanajakshi and demanded a ransom of Rs 25 lakh for his release. <br /><br />In her complaint, Vanajakshi alleged that one Ravi Reddy and his associates had abducted her husband. Following this, the police swung into action and rushed a team to Andhra Pradesh. Muniraju was rescued in Andhra Pradesh.<br /><br /> Efforts to secure the release of the builder are underway. The police, however, refused to divulge further details. <br />Youth injured <br />Setu Thakur (19), an employee of a steel godown was injured after a gas cylinder exploded at a warehouse in Jnana Bharathi police station limits on Monday afternoon. The warehouse belonged to the steel shop located nearby in RHCS Layout and was used for storing surplus goods. A case of negligence has been registered. <br /></p>
