Authenticity and taste is what Red Onion, the fine-dining multi cuisine restaurant, provides its customers.

Tucked away on Double Road, the restaurant that serves Indian, Chinese and Continental is a delight. It serves contemporary cuisines with traditional Afghani, Indian and Chinese flavours.

Jom James, the manager of Red Onion, says that the restaurant was opened in August and has been getting a great response ever since mainly because of the authenticity in service and a contemporary and rustic yet welcoming ambience. “We don’t add Ajinomoto in Chinese food. We also have a special dessert menu that is widely popular like home-made kulfis, ‘shahi tukda’ and gulaab jamun.”

Some of the popular delicacies include ‘nutty malai murgh’, ‘chicken malai tikka’, ‘junglee murgh ke shole’, ‘nalli nihari’ , ‘kadai paneer Afghani’ and ‘balti murgh methiwala’ which is served in a bucket tossed with traditional spices and ‘methi’ from Pakistan.

The restaurant also offers South Indian dishes like a range of ‘biryanis’ and delicious Chinese offerings like soups and starters, curry stews, kabab platters and an adventurous tandoori non-veg platter including chicken, mutton, fish and prawns mix.

After sampling a range of barbeques and steaks, one can also go for a variety of desserts like fruit tarts, and mousse cakes. The restaurant is located in Money Chambers, Double Road, Shantinagar.
