Leopard captured at Koodlur layout

The Forest department officials on Thursday night finally trapped the  leopard that had killed cattle in the villages and created panic, at Koodlur industrial area.

The leopard which had made its way from Attur reserve forest had created panic among people for the the last two months, killing several calves and lambs. 

Following frequent sightings of the leopard , the Forest Department had set up a cage at  the industrial layout on October 2. However, the effort to trap the leopard went in vain. The leopard had killed a lamb at Koodlur on October 29. 

A large number of people had gathered at the spot to get a glimpse of the leopard. Later, the leopard was released to  Doddaharave limits of Dubare Forest.
