JOIN USVedanth M Urs of Vidyashram scraped past Karan Gollarkeri of BNM in seven games (11-7, 11-8, 12-14, 11-3, 5-11, 2-11, 11-4) to lift the junior boys’ title in the MS Ramaiah State ranking table tennis tournament here on Sunday.
After Vedanth had won three of the first four games, Karan came storming past to win the next two to restore parity but Vedanth kept his nerve in the deciding seventh to lift the title.
In the junior girls’ match, MM’s Gayathri Tankasali ousted CTTC’s Koumudi Patankar 8-11, 11-9, 11-9, 11-7, 8-11, 11-4 to win the title.
