'No change in madrassa system'

“There is no need to change an education system which has been in practice for the past 150 years,” senior Deoband cleric Maulana Sufiyan Quasmi said while speaking at a seminar at the seminary. The clerics, however, said that changes could be brought in the way the education is being imparted at the Islamic seminaries across the country.
The ulemas also rejected the proposal to form a Central Madrassa Board.
