An Uttar Pradesh minister got so angry with a class 9 girl student of a government inter college during a surprise inspection that he allegedly turned abusive, shocking the staff.

Minister of State for Secondary Education Vijay Bahadur Pal, who conducted a surprise inspection at the government girls inter college in Banda town, about 200 kilometers from here, on Friday, allegedly used derogatory words at the teachers of the school.

According to reports, Pal entered a classroom and asked the girls a question on fundamental rights as enshrined in the Constitution.

One of the girls reportedly answered the question though she was only ‘partially correct’.

The minister was so irked by the reply that he admonished the girl and asked her to take her seat.

The girl insisted on saying something more regarding the question, but the minister allegedly turned abusive as he asked her to sit down.

Pal then turned his attention toward the teachiers and scolded them for not taking their job seriously.

The teachers said they teach such things on a daily basis but the students don’t learn.
“We also write such things on the blackboard,” said one of the teachers.

“You better stick them (writings) on your heads,” the minister reportedly said angrily.
“The minister’s behaviour was really shocking,” said one of the teachers.

A few days back, UP Minister for Secondary Education Mehboob Ali too had conducted a surprise inspection at a government school in Barabanki district and ordered suspension of a senior education official for wearing several gold rings and a ‘kada’ (bracelet).
