Avoid these roads on New Year's eve

All vehicles, except those of the police and of the essential services personnel on duty, will be denied entry on the following roads from 8 pm on Thursday till 1 am on Friday.

MG Road: from Anil Kumble Junction up to Residency Road Junction near Mayo Hall; Brigade Road: from Cauvery Emporium up to Opera House Junction; from Church Street Junction up to Museum Road Junction;from Museum Road Junction, beginning at MG Road, upto Old Madras Bank Junction; from Rest House Junction on Museum Road up to Brigade Road Junction; Kamaraj Road: from Cauvery Emporium Junction up to Cubbon Road Junction and thereafter from Cubbon Road up to Arts and Crafts Emporium; Residency Cross Road up to MG Road-Symphony Theatre Junction; parking of vehicles, except vehicles of the police and those of the essential services on duty, will be prohibited from 4 pm on Thursday till 3 am on Friday on the following roads; M G Road: from Anil Kumble Junction up to Trinity Circle; Brigade Road: from Arts and Crafts Junction up to Opera Junction; from Church Street-Brigade Road Junction up to its junction on St.Marks Road; Rest House Road: from its junction on Brigade road up to its junction with Museum Road; Museum Road: from its junction on M G Road up to its junction with Old Madras Bank Road; Owners of vehicles parked on MG Road, Brigade Road, Rest House Road, Church Street, Residency Road and St Mark's Road should remove them before 4 pm on Thursday, failing which traffic police will tow them away, besides fining the owners.

After 8 pm on Thursday, vehicles coming from Queen's Statue Junction on MG Road and proceeding towards Ulsoor and beyond will have to turn left at Anil Kumble Junction and BRV Junction, then turn right on Cubbon Road before proceeding and joining MG Road near Webb's Junction.

Vehicles proceeding towards Cantonment areas from Ulsoor should turn right near Trinity Circle, enter Ulsoor, then turn left on Dickenson Road before proceeding towards Cubbon Road.
Parking will be allowed on either sides from Kamaraj Road Junction till Commercial Street Junction, inside Cubbon Park on Kings Road and at Shivajinagar Bus Stand.
Pedestrians cannot walk on Brigade Road from Opera House Junction to MG Road Junction. For going towards MG Road, they can do so via Residency Road Cross (Symphony Theatre Cross).
