Special buses for women

 Labour minister P T Parameshwar Naik said on Thursday that he has urged Transport minister Ramalinga Reddy to ply special Bangalore Metropolitian Transport Corporation (BMTC) buses in select routes for the benefit of women working in garment factories.

Speaking to reporters after interacting with party workers at the KPCC office, he said that the Labour department has identified three important routes of Peenya-Dasarahalli, Magadi road-Mysuru road and K P Puram-Silk Board junction, where a large number of women travel by BMTC buses to reach garment factories.

The Transport minister has assured to ply special buses soon. These buses services will also ensure safety of women, he added.
