When old friends get together, the atmosphere automatically transforms into a party. Though the ‘party’ was pre-decided, but none imagined that it would turn out to be the fun occasion that it did, one that will be remembered for a long time to come.

The first Apeejay Alumni Meet of eight schools and colleges of Apeejay Education Society saw participation of 150 alumni from Delhi and NCR. Though the event at India Habitat Centre was organised to strengthen the association of the institute with the alumni across its schools and colleges, for those attending it was a memorable moment to
meet old batch mates, gorge on delicious food and enjoy music and dance performances presented by their juniors.

Amongst the gathering was a known face, Manish Paul (TV anchor and actor) who is also an alumni of Apeejay School. His female fans could not stop themselves from clicking a selfie with the very happening small-screen star.

The evening kicked off with a scintillating music performance and foot-tapping song presentation by the students of Apeejay. As the evening progressed, old friends started mingling with each other losing themselves in nostalgia, laughter and beautiful memories of the past. This was followed by a soulful Sufi performance by the students of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar. The group sang Alla Hu... and their energy enlivened the audience which kept asking for more.

When Paul went up to the stage to congratulate the quwwali singers, it was an unforgettable moment for Bannet who sang Allah Hu and Akhiyan Udeek Diyan. “It
was a very special experience for me to have been recognised by Manish. He especially came up to congratulate me which means my performance did touch his heart too,” Bannet said.

The revelries ended with a solemn promise to meet again and renew bonds of friendship.
