Kanteerava spruced up

Last Updated 18 November 2014, 20:07 IST

Last-minute preparations were on just a day before IBSF World Snooker Championship was due to kick off here at the Sree Kanteerava Indoor Stadium here on Wednesday.

While all the 20 championship tables have been laid out with lighting, carpeting and air-conditioning in place, organisers were busy giving a decorative look to the venue, trying their best to cover the dirty walls with banners and advertisements.

The biggest challenge for the organisers will be providing proper sanitation facilities as the Sree Kanteerava Stadium is necessarily known for having the cleanest of toilets.

Meanwhile, the opening ceremony for the 11-day bash was held on Tuesday with most players in attendance.
