Woman complains against KFC manager for clicking her pics

A 22-year-old woman filed a complaint in the Hulimavu police station alleging that the manager of a Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) outlet clicked her photographs without her knowledge.

According to the police, on November 2 , the victim went to the KFC outlet in Hulimavu, along with her friend. As she was having food, she realised that the manager of the outlet Vivek, 28, was clicking her photos on his mobile phone. She and her friend confronted Vivek and asked him to show his mobile phone.

But the manager refused to hand over the phone. The victim created a ruckus, which attracted the attention of other customers who asked her why she was shouting at the manager.

She explained her ordeal to the other customers, who demanded that the manager show his mobile phone. 

When they checked his mobile phone, a few pictures of the victim were found and he had also clicked the thigh part of the woman.

When people asked him why he clicked the pictures of the woman, he told them that the tattoo on her thigh was interesting and wanted to get a similar one done on him, the police said.

On November 18, the victim approached the police station and lodged a complaint. The police are trying to trace the accused who is absconding.

A senior police officer said the victim, when questioned on the delay in lodging the complaint, said that the operational manager and other employees of the company tried to persuade her to not file a complaint and she was not satisfied with their approach.

She also spoke to her parents who suggested that she lodge a complaint. The police have obtained the mobile phone number of the suspect from his colleagues and are trying to trace him.

While there were reports that the suspect was arrested on Wednesday, a senior police officer denied them.

The police have booked a case under IPC Sections 354 and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman).
