The Harmony International Music Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation set-up to facilitate music concerts with a cause, is presenting ‘Cadence 2014’, a Broadway themed concert on November 30 at 6.30 pm at Jyoti Nivas College Auditorium, Koramangala.

About 150 children and youngsters from the Harmony Music School and Preeta Dance Academy will present unforgettable tunes from many Broadway and West End greats including ‘The Phantom of the Opera’, ‘Wicked’, ‘My Fair Lady’, ‘Matilda’, ‘The Sound of Music’, ‘Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat’, ‘Cats’ and others.

Sandra Oberoi, Co-Founder, Harmony International Music Foundation and director of the concert, said, “The concert is aimed at generating funds for our recent project ‘EDUCATE — Empowering Deserving Children Actively Through Education’, as we believe that every child deserves an opportunity to receive good education eventually equipping them for a better and brighter future.”

She further added, “The audience can expect to be treated to spectacular music from the magical world of musical theatre. Watch and hear Annie sing hopefully, Elphaba sing defiantly, Glinda sing enthusiastically, Matilda sing courageously, Mary Poppins sing magically, Christine sing earnestly, Joseph sing dreamily, Eliza Dolittle sing longingly at this one-of-its-kind, stupendous show that will make spirits soar with all the fantastic singing, flawless drama and fabulous dancing that it promises.”

The show is sponsored by the Legacy Group and directed by Sandra Oberoi. Janice Caroline and Preeta Pereira have choreographed the dance sequences for ‘Cadence 2014’.
