<p> <br />Ugly and unsavoury incidents unfolded in the presence of Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa and his son MP B Y Raghavendra during the election for taluk unit of BJP in Shikaripur on Saturday.<br /><br />It may be mentioned here former Legislator Shantaveerappa Gowda was overlooked for recently held MLC election. Shantaveerappa had openly expressed ire against party leadership and had kept away from campaigning. <br /><br />When former MP Ayanur Manjunath was about to commence his speech, a section of BJP activists which was unhappy over denial of ticket for Shantaveerappa raised slogans against party leadership in the meeting. <br /><br />Police were called to clear the venue from slogan-raising activists. Addressing the meet later, CM Yeddyurappa, however, said that there is no scope for indiscipline in BJP, which is a party with a difference and known for values.</p>
