Even though the AIADMK supremo and former chief minister J Jayalalitha was not present in the Assembly session due to her conviction in an assets case, the word “Amma” could be heard several times in the Assembly hall on Thursday.
During Jayalalitha’s presence in the House, it was usual that all the members in the Treasury Bench devote proceedings time to shower praise on their “Amma”.
