The Central Crime Branch (CCB) sleuths raided a bar and restaurant located on 80 ft road under Airport police limits on Thursday, and have rescued 15 girls who were forced to work there.

Acting on a tip-off, the officers carried out the raid on Chef Inn Regency. They arrested 15 employees and 30 customers.

The officers found that the bar girls were forced to dress in skimpy clothes and serve the customers. They were also forced to dance and the customers threw money on them, which is against the law, police said.

Police said that bar owner Ramesh, who is absconding, brought girls from different states and employed them at the bar.

In order to make profit and lure customers, Ramesh forced them to dress scantily.“We are not sure if these girls were used for any other purpose but investigation is on. For now, the police are trying to trace the owner of the bar,” a senior police officer said. A case has been registered.
