<p>Commenting on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's statement about film industry portraying police in the poor light, actor Akshay Kumar said films should not be taken so seriously. <br /><br /></p>.<p>"I have played a cop in many films portraying them in the right way. Yes, there may be a some shortcomings but should only that be highlighted? Is it not our duty to remove these shortcomings by bringing into light the positive and good things," he said. <br /><br />"The image of films on the common man is immense and without their cooperation, policing cannot be successful", he added.<br /><br />Currently Akshay is awaiting the release of 'Baby', a spy-thriller directed by Neeraj Pandey, which is scheduled to hit the theaters on Jan 23 next year.</p>
