Pets are partying!

Bengaluru has always been a party hub for the youngisthan. In what can be called as a new move, ‘namma Bengaluru’ has now become a party place for the pets too!

The pets that are adored and always kept at home have turned party animals, literally, and are now socialising. They are now being taken to parties where they are introduced to good music and some exotic pet food.

An event manager, who happens to be a dog lover has been organising a unique event called the ‘P Factor’ that hosts parties for the pets and its owners. The pets and pet owners gather once in a month and party under the same roof with DJs playing music for them. The owner of Eternity Entertainment, Raaj Gowda is the planner behind this event.

“I am an event manager who happens to be a dog lover. I used to host a lot of events and during that time I used to leave my dogs alone at home. The dogs are always left behind at home and the maximum they get to go out is to the parks. So that is when I came up with this idea of organising parties for the pets in Bengaluru,” says Raaj Gowda.

And it’s just not the canines, the cats too are partying and walking the ramps like pros. Dressed in designer clothes, these dogs and cats walk the ramp alongside models doing their natural dog and cat walk. The ‘Pet Fashion Week’ organised by P Factor is the fourth of its kind in the world and the first in India. This event has gained recognition from ‘World’s Pet Fashion Professionals Association’.

Along with partying and modelling, they are made to play treasure hunts and many other exciting games. They are also offered training and regular check-ups. The trainers help the pet owners in disciplining and teaching basic obedience to the pets. They are also regularly checked by the veterinarians.

The event along with organising parties for the pets, has also done some charity work. It has raised funds for the animal care NGOs and encourages adoptions. “The NGOs get puppies for adoption and we encourage the pet lovers to adopt these puppies and give them a home. The pet lovers regularly donate some amount to these animal care NGOs,” says Raaj Gowda.

The event that is readily welcomed by the pet owners is appreciated by many. “It is a pleasure for the pets and the pet owners to attend this event. There are food stalls, music, health checks that excite both the pets and the pet owners,” says Zeeshan, a pet lover.
