A 25-year-old labourer was arrested for allegedly attempting to molest a minor girl at her house on Wednesday afternoon. The suspect has been identified as Ganesh, a resident of Madiwala.
According to the police, a family from Bihar, settled down in Madiwala six months ago. The victim and her brother would be at home after the parents went for work.
Ganesh was staying in the same locality and visited the victim’s house at 2 pm and misbehaved with the girl. However, she escaped and rushed into a neighbour’s house and disclosed Ganesh’s acts. The neighbours then approached the police and made a complaint, after which the suspect was arrested.
