Christmas season is synonymous with gifting. The joy of Christmas is spread across by gifting goodies like cakes and chocolates and playing the best game of all, ‘The Secret Santa’.

There was a time when one waited to go to school during this season to receive gifts from one’s Santa. But what is new is that this game has taken over the online media. Twitter has a page called @BengaluruSecretSanta that carries forward the traditional game online. There are also websites that let you play the game online and get a gift from your Santa.

Handmade gifts this season are selling fast. Mishikrafts, a firm that makes customised handmade stuffs, has been receiving a lot of orders this season. They make chocolates, candles, soaps, lip balms, kajal, face packs, bathing salts, jewellery and more. 

“They are all individually handcrafted, hand-packed and sometimes even hand delivered! We are trying to ensure that no two pieces are similar. We currently have a list of about 15 to 16 different varieties to choose from, all of which have sub-categories,” says Priya, founder of Mishikrafts.

She adds, “We have had a pretty spectacular response. Soaps and chocolates literally fly off the shelf every single time.” She says that the firm caters to every customer’s tastes and preferences and these products do not plant a hole in your pocket. “Our gifting options start at Rs 50 and sometimes even lesser. This ensures that we are not excluding anyone from our customer base,”says Priya.   

Leviathan Customz does customised art work on everyday items like jackets, shoes, guitars, clocks. They have a collection of hand-painted T-shirts, mobile covers, customised clocks, arty guitars along with many other stuffs.

The printed T-shirts have witty quotes, the artwork is intense and the clocks they make run anti-clockwise. And all these are selling like hot cakes, says Vaishak Seraphim, the owner and lead artist of the place. “I was always looking for ways to make my stuff different. Anything from names to pictures, custom messages can be added,” says Vaishak.

It includes learning how to make a plum cake, visit to chocolate factory where you can make your own chocolates, an exotic dinner and many more.  They also have a gifting option called the choice card. If you are unsure as to what to gift, then choice card is the best option.

It has a range of products that includes chocolates, Christmas tree with accessories, candle holder, Santa hat, a box of assorted chocolates, Christmas T-light holder and many such exciting things.
