Powered by Unmukt’s 155, North made 321 for seven at close on the first day. Unmukt’s innings contained 22 hits to the fence and four over it. He received splendid support from Manan Vohra, who made 70 with eight fours and a six. Nikhil Ganta remained unbeaten on 48.

For East, Ronit Singh (4/65) and Sanju Brahmar (3/50) shared the spoils.

In another match, Indrajit’s unbeaten hundred saved the blushes for President’s XI against Central. President’s XI could never really get going, losing wickets at regular intervals, but Indrajit’s knock, adorned with 15 boundaries, ensured that they reached a competitive total of 270 for seven at stumps. V Kaushik (41) and Pratap Kame (39 n.o.) gave good support to Indrajit.

Javed (2/55) and Aditya Srivastava (2/37) were the most successful bowlers for Central.

In the day’s third match, ZCA West too reached a comfortable position against ZCA South.

Batting first, West made steady yet gradual progress to 223 for three at close on the first day.

Akarshit Gomel led their charge with an unbeaten 95.

ZCA West: 223/3 (Akarshit Gomel 95 n.o, Vijay Zol 72) vs ZCA South.
