Career workshop for rural students

Rotary International Dist 3190, Career Counseling & Development Committee and the Rotary Club of Bangalore Yelahanka recently conducted a career workshop for rural students at Jawahar Nayodaya Vidyalaya, Doddaballapur.

Nearly 350 students from class 8-11 attended the workshop. The interactive session focused on rural children as they lack access to quality information and awareness on opportunities. Students’ questions were mainly on armed forces, clinical psychology, service industry, aerospace, automobile industry, robotic engineering, fashion designing, environmental management, IT and even community services.         
                                                                             
Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Principal Gopalakrishna, Paul Mundackal, Chairman RI District 3190, Career Counseling & Development Committee, Kishor Jagirdar, Managing Director of Infopace Management (P) Ltd President Rotary Yelahanka, Pradeep Rao, CEO, Rao & Rao Clearing House and Dr P M Radhakrishna, Director Innovation, Heathline Pvt Ltd addressed the students. The Rotary RI Dist 3190 will  hold such sessions in other parts of  rural Bangalore.
