Women robbed of gold chains

Two miscreants robbed a homemaker of her 75-gm gold chain in HSR Layout police limits on Thursday night.

The incident took place at HSR Layout 9th Sector when the victim, Sridevi, was returning home. The suspects followed her on a bike. Near a poorly lit place, one of them snatched the chain and fled the spot on the bike, said the police.

In another incident at Devasandra in KR Puram, two unidentified men followed a woman returning home after buying milk, snatched her gold chain and absconded. The victim is Lakshmamma, a resident of Lakshman Layout in the City. 

The suspects followed her on a motorcycle. The alert victim held on to her gold chain when one of them laid his hands on her neck. However, the chain broke into pieces and he could manage to take away only about 20 gram of the chain, said the police.

Two unidentified men diverted the attention of a homemaker and fled with gold
ornaments at Cholurpalya in Magadi Road police limits on Thursday.

The suspects approached the victim, Rukmini, and claimed that they would polish the gold ornaments. She trusted them and handed over the ornaments for polishing.

The suspects put a container on a stove claiming that they would boil the ornaments by mixing some powder. 

One of them dragged the woman into a conversation, while another put duplicate ornaments inside the container and kept Rukmini’s ornaments with him.

Some time later, they turned off the stove and advised her to take the container inside and open it after some time and went away, said the police.

When Rukmini opened the container after some time, she was shocked to see the duplicate ornaments.
