Last Updated 25 May 2009, 17:10 IST

“I can’t describe in words how elated I am feeling after the results are announced,” Ritesh Kumar, one of 30 successful students of the institute, told Deccan Herald here on Monday. Ritesh is the son of a farmer in the naxal-dominated Jehanabd district. Today the entire family is proud of him and is profusely thanking Maths wizard Anand Kumar, the brain behind Super-30.

This is for the second time in a row that Super-30 has achieved 100 per cent success.
Every year, the thatched-roof school selects a group of 30 IIT aspirants from poor families and provides them with free coaching, food and accommodation. This year, too, 30 students had been living the dream of cracking the IIT exams. On Monday, these students assembled to thank the teachers who relentlessly guided them without charging a single penny.

Anand, who has turned this Super-30 into a factory producing IITians, says that he bears the cost of over Rs 3 lakh incurred on the students’ from the income generated from his other coaching institute.

“We don’t have words to express our gratitude to Anand Sir,” said Santosh, who ranked 446.
