'I never repeat my actors'

E Krishnappa, the producer of Yograj Bhat’s Mungaru Male, will soon offer movie buffs another rain-soaked film called Mathe Mungaru. Considering it is from the same production team Mungaru Male, grapevine says it is a sequel to Mungaru.... Rubbishing all rumours, E Krishnappa tells Metrolife, “It is not a sequel. The entire story and plot is different. We have named it Mathe Mungaru as we wanted to convey to the audience that it is from the same makers. Also, rain will play a major role in the film.”

But the trio of Yograj Bhat, Ganesh and Pooja Gandhi of Mungaru Male fame are not part of this project. “There is no particular reason for not taking them this time. I have always believed in promoting new talent and never repeat my actors. In fact if that was the case, I should have taken someone from Moggina Manasu as well,” adds Krishnappa.

With his MM magic continuing, there are a lot of expectations from the audience as well, to which he says, “People always expect quality cinema from the makers and that is what we hope to give them.”

With Srinagar Kitty and Rachana Malhotra in the lead, Mathe Mungaru, which will be directed by Dwarki, has finished the first schedule of shooting. “We have almost finished 50 per cent of the film and the rate at which we are going, we hope to bring the movie to the screens by the end of April,” he concludes.
