<p>Korean auto major Hyundai has posted record sales of over 4.1 lakh units in India in 2014, a growth of over 7.5 per cent riding on new launches, including compact sedan Xcent and premium hatchback Elite i20.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) has set record sales in 2014 at over 4.10 lakh units, the company said in a statement.<br /><br />In 2013, HMIL had sold 3.8 lakh units in the domestic market.<br /><br />Commenting on the company's performance, HMIL Managing Director and CEO, BS Seo said: "We surpassed our targets of selling 4 lakh vehicles in the domestic market by adding new products like Xcent, Elite i20 and Santa Fe to our robust product portfolio."<br /><br />During the year, global debuts of models in India played an important role in the market for Hyundai Motor Co, the statement added.<br /><br />Looking ahead, Seo said: "We intend to continue our growth in 2015 and with new products coming next year, we will create the right conditions to reinforce our claim to leadership over the long term."</p>
