Winter is not the season to flaunt it but spring definitely is!<br /><br />“This pant-shorts hybrid is gaining major style momentum due to its fundamental versatility---slipping effortlessly into sleek work-wear, sporty luxe and neutral ensembles,” says designer Anita Dongre of Global Desi. <br /><br />“This uber-chic silhouette provides all the practicality of trousers, whilst retaining the appearance and femininity of a skirt.” <br /><br />According to her, culottes have many advantages, not the least of which is its barbecue-to-black-tie versatility. </p>.<p>“They are also transitional, the perfect piece to wear from winter into spring. You can sport culottes on date night, paired with a camisole and strappy heels, or clash jewel tones for an easy way to rock colour during the winter slump. Structured culottes can be balanced with a tailored blazer, and you can also give it a casual daytime flair with a graphic sweatshirt,” says Dongre. <br /><br />It is also a challenge to carry culottes properly. This pant-cum-skirty pieces makes you look short. So, pairing nice heels with it can do wonders. <br /><br />The cropped trouser can be paired by crop top, sexy ankle strap heel and a clutch. If you are not fond of heels and believe in carrying a tomboy look, then go for kneel length culottes and pair then with any round neck t shirt. To carry this fashion one need not be fairly thin. Even those having extra flab can look different. The trick is to pair the high waist culottes with pointed toe-heel and striped tee.<br /><br />Dongre in her latest collection has incorporated prints and kaleidoscopic hues.
