However, the cattle, which retreated, later returned and chased the leopard away. <br /><br />Forest officials, who rushed to the spot, confirmed that it was a leopard attack because tigers never let their prey escape.<br /><br />Incidents of attacks by wild animals are on the rise in the villages of Khanapur taluk. After the recent gunning down of a tiger, another tiger has been reportedly sighted by the villagers.<br /></p>
